Retirement Living

Our Retirement Living apartments are specifically designed to meet the needs of people in later life, with an Estate Manager overseeing each of our schemes. They offer our residents an active, independent lifestyle in a safe and secure environment among like-minded people.

Each scheme is built to ‘Lifetime Homes’ standards with step-free access throughout the development and all apartments are adaptable for wheelchair use.  Bathrooms are level-access, taps are easy to use and switches and sockets are at an appropriate height.

Our apartments can only be occupied by people over 60 years of age and are provided for outright sale, although the average age of residents upon purchase is 78.  The majority of residents entering our schemes live in the existing area; our sales statistics show that our typical resident moves from within seven miles.

Residents have their own front doors and privacy just as they did in their previous family homes.  They are free to join in community activities within the scheme or to pursue their own interests as they please, but with the comfort that help and support is on hand.

Retirement Living apartments feature a high specification of communal and shared facilities to address residents’ everyday needs.  These include a residents’ lounge, laundry and refuse room, lift, a camera entry system linked to resident’s TVs and a guest suite allowing for friends and relatives to stay overnight when needed.

These specific design features and the sense of community that our schemes create, we feel our developments offer greater security, safety and companionship to make later life a much more rewarding experience.
